SoundChoice Calendar Sync — Privacy Policy

Overview

SoundChoice Calendar Sync is an internal business application operated by SoundChoice DJ Services. It connects the SoundChoice Event Manager with Google Calendar to help organize scheduled events and maintain accurate booking information.

This policy describes how the application accesses, uses, stores, and protects information obtained through Google Calendar.

Google Calendar Access

With authorization from the Google account holder, SoundChoice Calendar Sync requests the following permission:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events

This permission allows the application to view, create, and modify Google Calendar events.

The application uses this access for SoundChoice event scheduling, including event names, dates, venues, locations, and related scheduling information.

SoundChoice Calendar Sync does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, or unrelated Google services.

How Information Is Used

Google Calendar information is used for internal event scheduling and synchronization, including:

  • Creating calendar entries for events managed by SoundChoice.

  • Updating existing calendar entries when event details change.

  • Checking calendar entries to identify conflicts and avoid duplicates.

  • Recovering from interrupted or unsuccessful synchronization attempts.

Google Calendar information is not used for advertising, marketing profiles, or unrelated purposes.

Storage and Security

Google authorization credentials are stored in encrypted form. Event synchronization records and related operational information may be stored in SoundChoice's event management database.

Access to the management system is restricted to authorized personnel through access controls.

Information is retained as necessary for event management, synchronization, security, and applicable legal obligations.

Information Sharing

SoundChoice does not sell Google Calendar information or share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

Technology service providers, including Google and Cloudflare, may process information as necessary to operate the application.

Revoking Access and Data Requests

The Google account holder can revoke application access through Google Account security settings.

Revoking access prevents future authorized synchronization. It does not automatically remove previously created calendar entries or separately stored SoundChoice event information.
